John Carpenters Classic Sci-Fi, New World Order Film, “They Live”

This is a classic John Carpenter film. I first watched this film after it came out in 1988 and of course, since I was still asleep I didn’t recognize it for what it was, or the story the filmmakers was trying to tell. Now 20+ years later, with a bit more experience and being a bit more awake and aware this film takes on a whole different meaning.

I confess that watching it again it was hard to watch.

The official description for this movie from IMDB is,

A drifter discovers a pair of sunglasses that allow him to wake up to the fact that aliens have taken over the Earth.

Unfortunately, in this case life is imitating art.

If you haven’t seen this film before it will be a real eye opener.
