The thought of kings & queens in concert with religion shaping, making others conform to their vision of life stirs no romantic feelings of a wonderful era. When comparing the different philosophies of the ages, I personally find the ways of Buddhism a more accurate system. Taking responsibility for your own thoughts and actions, always striving to understand life from a higher point of consciousness without forcing your beliefs on others, is to me more honorable. Looking back its more easy to see the flaws of this society as Mr. McKenna lays out the history of civilizations past. You can really get a sense for how serious JFK was about pursuing and nurturing peace across the world. No wonder he was taken out. In addition the footage showing various politicians making war mongering speeches makes me realize how little things have changed. Of course the thing that really makes you go cross eyed is how Obama - the Nobel Peace prize winner seems to love war every bit as much as any other politician. Watching this documentary was a real eye opener because it provided such a stark contrast to the world we live in today. It's amazing to me as this information is slowly released through controlled media outlets, that the message gets lost in the noise of sports & entertainment celebrity garbage, or whats trendy now. Like it's more important to know what's up with a bunch of rich self-centered twits who are chosen to keep the masses distracted, than it is to understand the nature of life and our place in it. I like going to the movies, concerts, or a sport occasionally, but there's more to life then that. Is it really better use you brain as a means to separate your ears and live like chumps? Fortunately there are those with the capacity to think & feel their way through the circus crowds willing to share their insights with the rest of us. It's time to wake up, look around, and use the information available to expand our horizons some more. Watch, read, learn, take action, and evolve; who said ascension was easy?
